The Ultimate EZ Smart Plus Diabetes Monitoring System is a 3rd generation biosensor technology meter presented by Ez Smart.

As it’s the improved version of the Ez Smart meter, after few months I decided to upgrade to the Smart Plus one. First thing that I didn’t understand is the very small print of the manual. It’s so small that I couldn’t read it and the directions are not what I would call ‘precise’. Finally I had to call the support number and I had the manual mailed for free. I was so happy to find such professional support operator that I almost forgot all the trouble I had with the manual.

Second issue is that the manual isn’t that detailed. It says not to reuse the strips but I had to figure out by myself that I have to discard the lancet after use. But once I started using it, I loved it.

I get a fast 8 seconds result for a little blood sample (1,5 mL).

The device’s marketing line is that it’s really cheap, even with the strips price included. It’s true, most meters require expensive strips which have almost the same price as the meter itself. Personally I used to reduce my glucose checking to 2 times a day instead of 4 times as the doctor said. Thanks to this meter, I can test my glucose as much as recommended.

The meter works on the easy push button operation. It’s really simple without all those complicated functions. I really like how quick and easy it is. The chip is a self-calibrating one. Therefore I don’t have to worry about the accuracy of the numbers.

Thanks to the self testing diary, I can keep track of my glucose readings. By averaging them I became more attentive to my health and needs.

I also liked the carrying case, makes me have less ‘little things’ to think about. I have all I need in it and I can use my meter anywhere!

The Ultimate EZ Smart Plus Diabetes Monitoring System includes 10 testing strips and 10 lancets with the lancing device opposed to just the lancing device that come with most meters in the market.
