The ACCU-CHEK Aviva by Roche is a newbie among glucose meters in the market. IT is presented to you by Roche Diagnostic Corp, Germany.

This glucose measuring system is really great; it integrates the lancets into the meter offering the convenience of an all in one system. It really does all the work. All I had to do was to insert the preloaded-six-lancets drum and it begins testing. I highly recommend it for people who need to save time on handling lancets.

Personally the reason why I don’t like glucose meters is the ‘traditional fingertip testing’. This ACCU-CHEK meter is really revolutionary concerning pain in testing as it gives the choice for alternate testing sites. But I had to talk to my doctor before deciding if an alternate site testing is right for me. In addition to the fingertip testing, there is a range of other body parts where this Accu-Chek system can be used. I tested it using my palm, forearm, upper arm, thigh and calf.

This ACCU-CHEK meter is really great concerning pain in testing as it gives the choice for alternate testing sites. But it is recommended for you to talk to your doctor before deciding if an alternate site testing is right for you.

It only requires a tiny 0,6mL sample for an accurate testing.

I’ve noticed that this kind of glucose meters is getting very popular. After using it I understood why; it’s very easy to use and does the testing very fast. I had the result in 5 seconds only.

This is slightly better than other glucose meters available in the market because it’s absolutely autonomous. Thanks to the capillary action, blood gets pulled into the stripe. I recommend it for adult’s daily use. It easily fits in a purse and I took it everywhere especially while I travelled. It’s really convenient because there’s no need to handle or even see the lancets.

When I first bought this meter, I didn’t think I could have accurate first time testing. Thanks to its automatic 150 checks, there’s not possibility of unreliable results. Therefore I never waste strips in non accurate readings. It also makes testing even less painful because it always works at first time.

The ACCU-CHEK Aviva by Roche comes including a preloaded 6 lancets drum in the opposite of separate lancets that come with most of meters in the market.
